Cagbalete Trip April 25,2015

Today's the date!!
Lyn and I were already at  JAC Liner Cubao Station at 4:00 AM but we still need to wait for a Pa-VIP friend who arrived at 4:30 AM. It would have been better if we left around 1 or 2 AM to avoid traffic. After 4 Hrs , we arrived at the Lucena Grand Terminal around 8:30ish. There are local eateries , Jollibee and Chowking so I suggest eat first before you go to Mauban. There's also a BPI ATM kiosk  beside Jollibee.

We were told that we have to go to SM Lucena if we were looking for a/c van going to Mauban port.
So, we had to take the NCR Rienton ordinary bus going to Mauban port .

The tourism office was relocated to the other side of the port which was a bit far. The tricycle driver offered to wait for us until we get our ticket and then brought us to the port.

Travel time: 45 to 1 hr
Luckily our boat was fast enough to get us to our destination in just 45 mins.
Make sure you were wearing your ready to get wet attire because the whole boat travel would be a splashing time.
It was low tide when we reached Cagbalete so our boat couldn’t dock near Pansacola Resort.
There was a small boat that would transfer us from the private boat to the shore. Good thing if you  were able to rent a private boat, there's no need for you to walk from sabang port (roughly 300m  walk to the nearest resort) to your destination since they would  go directly to your resort and would transport you back to Mauban as well.
SInce it what we did  was walk-in and it was fully booked. We had no choice but to take whatever is available which was an open Hut but they provided queensize foam , pillows, electric fan, tables and chairs.
They offer food package 1000/head , They do not accept paluto , according to Ate, they're busy.
Cooking Utensils rent :  30.00 per head
ice : 10.00
sprite/sodas : 85.00
pitcher: 50.00 **yes pitchel lang to ha, so we opted for the  utensils per head package
crispy pata (medium): 400
bon fire : 100
bukayo : 3.00/pc
Souvenir shell: 100 depending on its size
Daing na Pusit: 200 per pack
SInce we were able to buy fish, vegetables and condiments and spices at the Mauban market and the Resort doesn;t accept paluto. We looked for someone who can cook for us. Luckily, Kuya Rommel the bangkero, told us that his sister can cook for us.
Other locals there accept "paluto"  for P200.00 +tip if you want.
We wanted PAKSIW, KINAMATISAN ( Fish sinigang using kalamansi) grilled and Adobong Pusit
plus the crispy pata that we ordered from the resort.

THE PANSACOLA BEACH RESORT
Electricity is only from 6PM to 6AM.  As soon as the electricity started, there goes the videoke team and the bonfire session and the never ending drinking session ahahhhha.
I had this eew experience the next day when I went to the common restroom. There was no electricity so it was a bit dark. I was about to sit on the throne when i noticed something long, dark  on a curl beside me. I was still calm, or should I say in denial stage., I opened the door and went out and told my friends that I think I saw a snake in the bathroom. I grabbed my phone and went back to take a pic . I asked one of the locals there whom I think was working for the resort  and said
11173677_1078958242118637_1376833123_n
" Manong, may ahas sa cr" and he said, " wala na yon, mahiwaga yun eh, nawawala bigla"
I pointed out that I was able to go back to take a pic and it was still there.
I showed him the picture and he said" Igat yan, baka nakawala nung may naglinis sa lababo" and I told him, " Manong kung igat yan kanina pa yan gumalaw kase wala sya sa water"
Another guy went in and went out running from the shared restroom .  Manong went inside and brought the snake  out . He said that someone put it in as a prank. But it was really a snake and he called it " Ahas tubig".  And whoever that person was, what was your purpose?  The first thing in my mind at that time was, what if it was my friend who has asthma  and who easily gets nervous or someone older who has heart problem. Who knows what could have happened.
